Dear Baron von Mueller,

I enclose twig of a plant which I shall be glad if you will kindly name for me. All that I know is that it is introduced, it is a tree about 30 feet high, planted in Parramatta & it is not known who planted it or whence it came. It is very aromatic when crushed, and evidently contains an oleo-resin.

Yours truly

J M Maiden

I have had Logania floribunda sent to me from the Naradham Hills, Lachlan River.2 The locality is new to me for this species & I can send you a specimen if you wish.
