From Ferdinand von Mueller to Nicholas Holtze   16 Jan 1892

16/1/92

Should you, dear Mr Holtze, come across Sida Holtzei1 in a flowering state, will you then from a number of fresh blossoms ascertain:

1, if the styles are always 5

2, if the stigmas are always capitellate or sometimes decurrent.

3, if the flowers are always strictly bisexual.

Your worthy father2 writes, that he never cultivated Aeschynomene aspera. So you added that species to the list of Austral plants. I hope to see him and your kind mother next week in Adelaide3

Regardfully your

Ferd von Mueller
