From Ferdinand von Mueller to Thomas Bride   8 Feb 1892

8/2/92

Am not sure, dear Dr Bride, whether I directed your attention to the much enlarged eighth edition of the "Select plants."1 This book, in its now extended form would likely be acceptable anywhere in your interchanges.2

Regardfully your

Ferd. von Mueller3

B91.09.01.

MS annotation by Bride: 'To Mr. Dowden. 9.2.92. Has the usual supply been received from the Government Printer'. Dowden replied the next day: '26 copies received 1/12/91 25 sent to Mr Neville 1 copy kept for Library shelves'. [[Alfred Neville was an assistant in the Public Library, his duties being described as having 'charge of newspaper room and of lending library, and business pertaining thereto' ('Blue Book' for 1890, p. 39). Michael Dowden was 'Principal Assistant'.]

For reply, see T. Bride to M, 10 February 1892 (in this edition as 92-02-10b).
