Sir
I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your letter,2 informing me, that the hon. the Chief Secretary has been pleased to allow Mess. Minchin and French to remain Officers of the Gov. Kindly convey to Mr M'Lean my extreme gratitude for this generous act, which is also highly appreciated by the two employees concerned.3
