Dear Baron

Thanks for your kind letter & specimen of Polyosma reducta

I have only my first specimen of the Canarium when better arrive will send you some. The Italians have so far not called upon me. The Bulletin1 has been posted and with this is also posted a specimen of a new Cupania known in the Cairns district as Silkwood. I have therefore named it C. sericolignis — The flowers are all male on these specimens but I am in hopes of soon securing female flowers soon. It seems identical with what I gathered on the Mulgrave2 specimens of which you have these differ slightly but insufficient to keep them apart

Ever yours very truly
