My dear Baron

I regret to say that I have not been able to answer your note sooner, having a bad attack of gout in my right arm & hand, many thanks for the Characeae Pt 1.1 If it does not come to more that 20s/ or 30s/ a year I would like to take it — I will try this season to get the Claudea again, we have only had two or three trawling trips, and nothing worthy of mention among the Algae, was obtained.

I have a few specimens put away some where which I will look up the first chance I get but I have no doubt when the warm weather comes around again, as I know the exact spot I shall be able to send you fresh specimens2

believe me

dear Baron

yours sincerely

Ed. P Ramsay
