From Richard Bastow to Ferdinand von Mueller   28 Dec 1892

329 Brunswick St

Fitzroy1

Dec. 28 1892.

Baron Ferd. von Mueller, M.D., etc.

My Dear Sir

You addressed a desire to see a sample of my drawings, so whilst I am busy I have just made the enclosed duplicate;2 it must be a new species by the uncommonly large erect capsule, not strumose; I judge it has been named by C. Muller in honor to Mr Whitelegge, an old associate of our Cryptogamic Soc. in Manchester, although the packet does not bear the author's name.

yours respectfully

Richd. A. Bastow.

Melbourne.
