Should like to have some well developed flowering and fruiting specimens.
A closely allied species grows in swamps more away from the coast, namely M. ericifolia Sm.
After next years season a list of your phanerogamous plants of the district could be published as by that time likely almost complete

Twenty-three of these numbers are represented twice in the Hussey collections at MEL (AVH accessed 4 August 2024). Except as noted below, M's names given here match, or are synonyms of, specimens listed at MEL (synonyms checked in APC, accessed 13 August 2024). Some numbers have only an 1894 collection, representing species other than those on the list. Some of these species are listed as 's.n.' ('without number’) with an 1893 collection date in MEL, but they may have been sent as part of another collection. The earliest dated letter in the correspondence with Hussey dealing with vascular plants is M to J. Hussey, 19 November 1893; it indicates that Hussey had answered a question about Logania crassifolia that M had asked on another list (M to J. Hussey, 1893 (in this edition as 93-10-00g)). The present list was the second sent in 1893, before November, but can be dated no more precisely.
