From Ferdinand von Mueller to William Henry Archer   18 Mar 1893

18/03/93.

Your studies of Australian Lichens are so important, dear Mr Archer, that you should keep Nylander's work,1 til you have obtained from it all the information, desired by you. My mentioning, that I liked to have the work back within some few weeks, was not litterally meant. As I know, and remember, where the 2 parts are, I can send for them, should suddenly any cause arise for my referring to it.

Regardfully alway

your

Ferd. von Mueller

By last mail I had again a kind letter from Dr Bonnier; but it is on the foecundation of Coniferae and Cycadeae.2
