St Helens1
March 20th 1893
Honoured Sir
Again allow me to draw your attention to the enclosed specimen. I make it a Senecio but cannot make it agree with any described as belonging to Tasmania. This will be the third time I have attempted to bring this plant under your notice. It is rather disheartening to have the results of a long tramp thrown aside.2 I am rather pushed for time being about to start on a trip to the Blue Tier3 botanising etc.
Thanking you in anticipation believe me to remain yours faithfully

To Baron F. von Mueller K.C.M.G. etc etc
P.S. Is the plant anything like Senecio brachyglossus
W.V.F.
Senecio brachyglossus
