[We have received from Baron Von Mueller, Government botanist, a sample of grass from West Africa, called "coapim grass" (panicum spectabile) which is said to be valuable for public reserves. Any person interested can see it by calling at this office.]1
Panicum spectabile
For other distribution of the grass at this time, see M to Bairnsdale advertiser and Tambo and Omeo chronicle, 16 March 1893, and notes thereto.
Letter not found. The text given here is from 'Useful Grass', Traralgon record, 24 March 1893, p. [2]. It is dated by comparison with other specimens sent at this time, and would have arrived on the day the previous issue was published.
