From Ferdinand von Mueller to Surrey Hills Field Naturalists' Club   13 May 1893

[At the last meeting of the Field Naturalists' Society1 a letter was received from Baron Von Mueller, K.C.M.G.. L.L.D., M.D., &c., stating that he would be pleased to address their association at the celebration of their annual meeting, which is to be held next month2].

The annual meeting of the 'Surrey Hills Field Club' (sic) was held on 17 July 1893, but brief mention in Reporter, 28 July 1893, p. [2], col. e, does not mention a speaker.

Letter not found. The text given here is from Reporter (Box Hill, Vic.), 9 June 1893, p. [2], col. e. It is dated to 13 May as the latest date that it could have been sent to be read at the meeting on 15 May, the only meeting of the Club found in May issues of the Reporter.
