From Ferdinand von Mueller to Maria Henley   29 May 1893

29/5/93.

If you persevere and so your Lady-friends on the Murray-River, &c dear Miss Henley, you are likely to discover yet the Aldrovanda in Vict. and N.S.W.1

N. 3 = Potamogeton obtusifolius.

N. 1 = Chara

N 2. = Nitella

1 & 2 too small for accurate specific naming.

If you strew some kitchen-salt over the plot, where the Mesembryanthemum edule grows, it will make better advances as it is a Salt-plant.

Regardfully your

Ferd. von Mueller.
