Sir

I promised my young friend Dr Hallier my mediation between you and him. We want for comparison Herbarium materials of Lepistemon urceolatus F.v.M. (= L. Fitzalans1 F.vM?) and Lepistemon asterostigma K-Tchem.

Dr Hallier who is assistant at our Herbarium is a very clever young botanist and if you can help him with those specimens you will oblige us both. I am not quite sure if I did acknowledge the receipt of your last sending. Everything arrived in good order and I beg to accept my best thanks,

With kind regards I have the honour to be
