From Leonard Rodway to Ferdinand von Mueller   22 Oct 1893

Hobart,1 22/10/93.

Dear Baron,

I enclose a curious little composite I came across today. I have not endeavoured to work it up as I was anxious to forward it before it withered. The calyx appears to develope conspicuous petaloid segments on the fruitful flowers. I found it in quantity associated with, Hydrocotyle callicarpa, Mitrasacme paradoxa, Triglochin centrocarpa & Centrolepis aristata but yet in a place where it may have been introduced.

Yours Faithfully,

L. Rodway.

Centrolepis aristata

Hydrocotyle callicarpa

Mitrasacme paradoxa

Triglochin centrocarpa

Tas.

Found with a specimen of Isoetopsis graminifolia (MEL 2161454). MS annotation by M: 'Answ 24/10/93'. See M to L. Rodway, 24 October 1893 (in this edition as 93-10-24a).
