Letter not found. The text given here is from 'Correspondence', in the report of a meeting of the Oxley Shire Council—date of meeting not in report but will have been 2 December 1893—in Ovens and Murray advertiser, 9 December 1893, p. [6]. The seeds were probably sent around the middle of the month when seed was distributed to other councils (see M to T. Easton, 16 November 1893 (in this edition as 93-11-16b) and notes thereto), and the letter is dated accordingly.
