They text given here is from the report of the meeting of Rutherglen Shire Council held on 2 December 1893, under 'Correspondence' (Rutherglen Sun and Chiltern Valley advertiser, 8 December 1893, p. [6]). The seeds were probably sent around the middle of November, when seed was distributed to other councils; see M to T. Easton, 16 November 1893 (in this edition as 93-11-16b) and notes thereto.
