The text given here is from 'correspondence', in the report of the meeting of the Keilor Shire Council held on 9 December 1893 (Essendon gazette and Keilor, Bulla and Broadmeadows reporter, 14 December 1893, p. [6]). The seeds were probably sent around the middle of November when sugar beet seed was distributed to other councils; see M to T. Easton, 16 November 1893 (in this edition as 93-11-16b) and notes thereto.
