To Henry Deane1    25 November 1893

25/11/93

Am thrown into deep mourning, dear Mr Deane, through the death of the only son of my late sister,2 a young accomplished Gentleman in Adelaide. Through this sad event the calculation of my time was also deranged. I have several sendings from you for which I am thankful and which shall now soon have attention.

Regardfully

your

Ferd von Mueller.
