Glycine Latrobeana, the name M uses in B89.05.03?
There is evidently a duplication of numbers here; earlier in the list, nos 2 and 9 were identified as belonging to other genera.
Correspondent inferred; MS acquired by the Castlemaine Art Gallery & Museum as part of a collection of Brotherton correspondence.
Brotherton did not use a single sequence of collecting numbers. However, taking account of modern synonyms, the 17 numbered specimens that can be linked to surviving specimens are all dated 1894, and the list is dated accordingly. None of her collecting numbers 7, 15, 9, 24, 30, 16, 23, 14, 29 are represented by surviving specimens at MEL. The list may be the one referred to in M to A. Brotherton, 21 October 1894.
