From Ferdinand von Mueller to Herbert Williamson   [Jan 1894]

Would you kindly ascertain, dear Mr Williamson, when you write to the manager of the Bee-Station, whether he cultivates any Honey plants purposely or whether his hives rely on native-flowers solely.1 He will find in my inexpensive work, "Select plants for industrial culture" the best Honey-plants of the world also. This volume is obtainable at the Gov. Printing Office. With best new years wishes your

Ferd. von Mueller.

See B91.09.01, p. 537.

MS falls within established range of correspondence, August 1893 to July 1896. The top of the page is damaged; there is a pencilled note in an unknown hand: 'Jan 5th 94' that is consistent with M's sending New Year greetings; the item is dated to January 1894 on that basis.
