T. R. Wilson Esqr,
Under Secretary.
Sir.
I have the honor to report that T. F. Patterson Esqr of the Ulonga-Station near Hay2 has on my solicitation caused to be collected on his run a large quantity of the seeds of the best pastural Salt-bushes, required in my establishment for seeds-interchanges. As Mr. Patterson must have incurred considerable expense in making this valuable donation, I would suggest, that on behalf of the Government a set of the work on "salsolaceous plants" be presented to this Gentleman, nine decades of that publication having appeared.3
I have the honor to be,
Sir,
your obedient servant
Ferd. von Mueller,
Gov Botanist
