From Ferdinand von Mueller to Alexander Macdonald   11 Apr 1894

11/4/94

Am afraid, dear Mr Macdonald, that I should be unable to hunt up the information sought by you, as in my narrow working space, any thing not required frequently, is stored away and very difficult of acess. I believe, Mr Lindt would remember the "Sandfly-catastrophe", as he was — I think — about that time in New Guinea.1

Kindly see me, before you go to WA

Regardfully your

Ferd. von Mueller

M reported in M to A. Macdonald, 20 April 1894, that he had been mistaken about the location of the killing of the commanding officer of HMS Sandfly.
