With reference to your letter of the 17th instant,2 I have the honour to inform you that I have much pleasure in complying with your suggestion that a copy of vol. 2 of the "New Hebrides Languages"3 be sent to Professor Mueller, Vienna. The work has been forwarded to the address given by you.

I am also to convey to you the thanks of the Trustees for your courtesy and liberality in placing 12 copies of your work entitled "Index perfectus ad. C. Linnaei species Plantarum"4 at their disposal for purposes of exchange and distribution.
