Gleichzeitig mit diesem Briefe, edler Freund, sende ich an Sie 3 päckchen Algen ab, die ich eben von Mr J. Bracebridge Wilson erhalten habe für Sie. Ich musste das Packet öffnen und in 3 kleinere theilen, um innerhalb des Gewichts, welches die Post-Regulationen hier bestimmen die Sendung machen zu können[.] Ausser der Handhabung bei der Division habe ich den Inhalt nicht berührt. At the same time as this letter, noble Friend, I am sending you three small parcels of algae that I have just received for you from Mr. J. Bracebridge Wilson. I had to open the parcel and divide it into three smaller so as to make the consignment within the weight that the postal regulations here determine. Apart from the handling with the division I have not touched the contents. Hoping that you enjoy the best of health I remain your esteemed
