To William Thiselton-Dyer   16 July 1894

16/7/941

It is very gratifying to me, dear Dr Dyer, to receive an other part of the grand series of the “icones plantarum”,2 which brings again a number of rare plants before us all, which otherwise most of us would only know from description

I am beholden to Prof Oliver and yourself for giving also the Darwinia Schuermanni a place - for otherwise very few would ever know what it was like, for it is sharing the fate of the Dodo.3

With regardful remembrance your

Ferd. von Mueller.
