[Baron Von Mueller has forwarded Mr. Gregson a large collection of Indian grass seeds. The grasses in question are supposed to flourish in swampy land and should be valuable in the low-lying parts of the district, notably about Loch Garry.1]

Letter not found. The text given here is from 'Country districts. Shepparton, Aug. 6', in Australasian, 11 August 1894, p. 227. The item continues: ‘This year the swampy land promises to bear an unusually large proportion to the whole, as so far the rainfall has been exceptionally heavy, and settled weather seems as far off as ever. As to the grasses, it is to be regretted that the number of landholders disposed to make experiments, carefully noting results and reporting them, is small.’
