One of the rarest of all Australian plants, but named by me already 1848. Seeds would be very valuable. Do you find it on sand or lime stone or any other soil? How high does it grow there? Some few extra specimens for exchanges much desired both in fl. and afterwards in fruit.

No number on this list is used more than once for Hussey specimens in MEL. Numbers 270 and 277 are not in the collection (AVH, accessed 4 August 2024). The record numbers '0.102' and '0.103' are not listed among Hussey collections at MEL. The label on MEL 0532295A with record number 102, collected 1894, has the number '0102' and is identified as Glischrocaryon behrii, of which Loudonia Behrii is a synonym (APC, accessed 13 September 2024). The number 103 is not used for any Hussey specimen in MEL. The specimens with record numbers 272 and 287 do not match and are not synonyms of the species recorded at MEL. All others match, are synonyms or names of known misapplication and were collected in 1894. The numbers are next in sequence to those given in M to J. Hussey, 16 August 1894, and precede M to J. Hussey, 27 October 1894. The letter is dated to September 1894 as the earliest likely date it would have been written.
