Letter not found. The text given here is from 'Reports', in the report of the meeting of the Poet Fairy Borough Council held on 29 August 1894 (Port Fairy gazette, 31 August 1894, p. [2]. It is dated to 27 August as the latest likely date it could have been sent to have been reported at that meeting.
