MEMO. from the CURATOR to

11th Sept: 1894

Dear Baron von Mueller,

I enclose a grass from the Paroo2 which seems to me very peculiar. I do not wish it to be returned.

In all the spikelets examined I find the flowering glume with only 5 plumose points, and no trace of stamens or ovulary. It seems to be a sterile form of Pappophorum commune, and I shall be glad to learn from you if my opinion is correct.

Yours truly

J. H. Maiden.
