From John Mann to Ferdinand von Mueller   22 Sep 1894

18 Bridge Street1

22 September 94

Dear Baron von Mueller

I have much pleasure in forwarding to you a copy of a resolution which was adopted by this Council a short time since2

Delay in communicating with you at an earlier date has been caused by several of our members including the President having had to leave Sydney for their various duties in the country and the consequent difficulty in obtaining their signatures

It is scarcely necessary for me to add that this resolution was adopted unanimously by our Council as the members fully appreciate your indefatigable labours in the cause of science.

I beg to remain

dear Baron von Mueller

yours most faithfully

John F. Mann

Hon Sec3

Sydney.

P. King et al. to M, 24 August 1894.

A hand written copy of this letter is at ML MSS.853/2, item 6, Royal Geographical Society of Australasia (New South Wales Branch).
