This number is used at MEL for Daviesia brevifolia, in a different subfamily of Fabaceae than Acacia, dated 1894.
The record number 321 is used five times in the Hussey collection at MEL. One is undated, one dated 1894 and the other three as 1895, with one of them dated to February. All but MEL 535712, dated 1895, are recorded as P. phylicoides. There are also six un-numbered specimens of P. phylicoides, two dated 1894 and four 1895. See notes to J. Hussey to M, 2 December 1894. The number is mentioned in another undated list, M to J. Hussey, January 1895 (in this edition as 96-01-00g) and in three dated letters: J. Hussey to M, 2 December 1894; J. Hussey to M, 3 January 1895; and J. Hussey to M, 20 February 1895.
curviflora?
See J. Hussey to M, 2 December 1894.
Transcriber error for 'and'? Both numbers are used for in AVH for Hakea mitchellii, of which H. flexilis is a synonym, each dated 1894.
SA.
This record number is identified at MEL as Asteraceae, the family to which Picris belongs.
Item is a typescript, transcriber unknown, prepared ca. 1977 from an original MS in the State Library of South Australia, Adelaide.
Except as noted below, M's names match the names used in the Hussey collection in MEL, or are synonyms, with the collection date 1894 (AVH, accessed 4 August 2024; APC, accessed 22 August 2024). The sequence of numbers follows 319, the highest number in M to J. Hussey, November 1894 (In this edition as 94-11-00d), and is followed by those in M to J. Hussey, December 1894 (in this edition as 94-12-00b). The question asked about number 321 is answered in J. Hussey to M, 2 December 1894. This list is therefore dated to late November 1894 as the last likely date that it could have been sent.
