To William Thiselton-Dyer   3 November 1894

3/11/941

Let me thank you, dear Dr Dyer, for sending the list of names, corresponding to Miss A Walkers last sending of fungs and drawings.2

As regards the Eucalyptus macro[car]pa it is rare and occurs only in the inland regions of West Australia. I will try to get the genuine seed fresh again. I collected it myself in 1877 and then sent it out. Am not at all surprised that wrong seeds were sent under that name, because it is impossible for me to examine and verify myself all Eucalyptus seeds from W.A. particularly, even if seedvessels leaves and flowers c[o]me with the seeds, and such is rarely the case.

With every good wish your

Ferd von Mueller

Thanks for seeds of Convolvulus floridus.
