He (the hon secretary) had replied to Baron von Mueller thanking him for his offer and accepting the publications, and they had now arrived at the institute. A vote of thanks was passed to Baron von Mueller for his donation.]

The previous meeting of the Institute was held on 28 September 1894. The latest likely date of M's letter is December 1894, allowing time for the subsequent correspondence described in the report.
