Durch diese Wochen Post erhalten Sie, hochgeehrter Herr Professor, den letztjährigen Rapport des Sir William Macgregor. In diesem voluminosen Documente befinden sich 2 Abhandlungen von mir. Leider sind durch ein Versehen in Brisbane keine Extra Abdrücke von der 2tn Abhandlung gemacht, u es können auch nicht Exemplare des ganzen Rapports für Extra Zwecke erlangt werden. Wollen Sie daher so freundlich sein, nachdem Sie die beiden Beiträge für Ihre schönen Jahres Berichte benutzt, das Ganze an den Verein von Erdkunde in Berlin zu senden.
1894 hat fast meine ganze Kraft für rurale Zwecke erfordert in diesen hier so bedrückten Zeiten. 1895 hoffe ich mehr wieder für Phytographie wirken zu können.

By this week's mail, highly esteemed Professor, you will receive the last year's report of Sir William Macgregor.1 In this voluminous document are two papers by me.2 Unfortunately through an oversight in Brisbane no reprints of the 2nd paper were made and also no copies of the complete report were obtained for other purposes. Would you therefore be so kind, after you have used both contributions for your splendid Jahresbericht,3 to pass the lot to the Geographical Society in Berlin.
1894 has required almost my whole energy for rural purposes in these so depressed times here. In 1895 I hope to be able to do more for phytography again.

Both B94.11.01 and B94.11.02 are listed in Just's botanischer Jahresbericht, vol. 22 (1897), the volume covering 1894, with entries in a number of places in the volume, according to the taxonomic group of genera included.
Letter has the stamp of the Gesellschaft für Erdkunde, Berlin, 21 January 1896, on the first page. M's reference to 'your splendid Jahresbericht' identifies Koehne as addressee since he was editor of Just's botanischer Jahresbericht.
