Number not used in Hussey collections at MEL.
P. vacciniifolia? The specimen at MEL with this number is Spyridium thymifolium, of which Pomaderris vacciniifolia is not a synonym, although both are Rhamnaceae.
Number not used in Hussey collections at MEL; the number is used with the same determination in M to J. Hussey, May 1894 (in this edition as 94-05-00c).
The number is used in M to J Hussey, November 1894 (in this edition as 94-11-00d) as 'not well developed' and in M to J Hussey, August 1895 (in this edition as 95-08-00h) as Prostanthera coccinea. It is listed in MEL as Prostanthera chlorantha, of which Prostanthera coccinea is not a synonym; APNI (accessed 21 September 2024) indicates a complex history of the use of this name.
Number 332 in M to J. Hussey, December 1894 (in this edition as 94-12-00b) is determined as Drosera pygmaea, the name used in MEL.
See n. 1 above.
Item is a typescript, transcriber unknown, prepared ca. 1977 from an original MS in the State Library of South Australia, Adelaide.
Except as noted below, M's names match the names used in the Hussey collection in MEL, or are synonyms (APC, accessed 21 September 2024). All specimens in this list that are now in MEL are dated 1895 (AVH, accessed 4 August 2024). Hussey had previously provided information about 'Pimelea no 321' in J. Hussey to M, 2 December 1894, and reported that seeds were included in the parcel of plants. M answered that letter on 4 December 1894 (letter not found), presumably asking whether the habitat of Pimelea densifolia matched that of a putative undescribed Pimelea species, answered in J. Hussey to M, 3 January 1895. The list is therefore dated to January 1895 as the earliest that it could have been written.
