[From Baron Von Mueller describing sample of grass sent him by the Secretary,1 and asking to be sent a specimen of any submerged or floating weeds of creeks and lagoons2 in exchange for rural plants— Received.]

The context of the submission of the grass specimen is not known.

From the late 1880s, M made many such requests, sometimes suggesting techniques to use; for example, M to H. Deane, 5 April 1889 (in this edition as 89-04-05b).

Letter not found. The text given here is from 'Correspondence' in the report in Avoca mail, 15 March 1895, p. 2, of the monthly meeting of the Lexton Shire Council held on 13 March 1895.
