To Caroline Armytage   20 April 1895

20/4/95

Allow me dear Madam, to mention, that the enlarged nineth edition of the "Select plants"1 is now going into print, so that any successes with the Coapim Grass (Panicum spectabile) on your queensland Station2 could now be recorded in the work under your honored name.3 But the last year has been one of such dryness, that perhaps the experiments gave no favorable results. Nevertheless it would be well to persevere with the trials, also as regards the Medicago [scu]tellata and M. orbicularis. Your son kindly said, he would try to get me seeds of the Mitchell-Grass (Astrebla) but in this time of drought and rainlessness the Astreblas may have not been productive of seed.

With regardful greeting to all of you

Ferd von Mueller
