Best thanks, dear Mr Duthie, for you kindly sending the new part of your work on the utilitarian plants of your region.1 This is an admirable litterary and artistic production, and I shall be able to obtain from it important additional information.

The nineth Edition of the “Select plants” (again augmented) is now going into print, so that I hope to offer you a copy some few months hence.2
