To William Thiselton-Dyer   8 June 1895

8/6/95.1

I find, dear Dr Dyer, that I could muster 3 [kinds]2 bulbous plants from those sent by the Hon John Douglas from Thursday-Island3 They are forwarded by post in two parcels to you this day. The one already in leaves is probably a Crinum, perhaps a species not rare but it can do no harm to send it, and it may turn out something good The two others look more promising, for Calostemma album, but one may perhaps be Crinum uniflorum I have only the bulbs, so we cannot foresee, what they may turn out. You will recognize the good will.

Some weeks hence I shall send you the nineth edition of the "Select Plants",4 the 8th being sold out at the Gov. Printing office though the work was never advertised. I do not wish it reviewed.

Always regardfully

your Ferd. von Mueller5

I write this while conducting examinations as an honorary Officer.
