From Ferdinand von Mueller to Alexander Macdonald   29 July 1895

29/7/95

As you desired, dear Mr McDonald, I have communicated with Miss Law, and think it likely that she will call on me. I could get no pictures of Tyrol and Dalmatia for her.1

I revised the last proof-sheet of the "Select plants" (enlarged 9th edition)2 two days ago. So I feel somewhat freer; but the work is always overwhelming in my branch of the public service. Let me hope, that you are happy and well.

Ferd von Mueller.

Miss Jennie Clara Law read a paper on 'The Tyrol and the Dolomites' at the meeting of the Victorian Branch of the Royal Geographical Society of Australasia held on 9 August 1895; published as Law (1897) with unsourced illustrations.
