From William MacDonald to Ferdinand von Mueller   3 Oct 1895

Kempsey. Oct 3rd 1895

My dear Baron

Herewith please receive a sample seed with seed vessels and branchlet of a handsome tree in this district known as Scrub Teak but I think it is a Flindersia

I am sorry I have not the flower but will send you a piece of the bark which may help to determine the species. I would much like to know it.

Hoping you are quite well. Believe me with kind regards

Faithfully yours

Wm MacDonald

PS I forgot to mention that I find the Euchlaena luxurians do very well here. I am now planting it for green fodder again

Wm MacD
