[From Baron Von Mueller, advising as to the best means to get seeds of phylloxera-resistant vines.— Held over till next meeting.1]
There were other letters received and held over that concerned sourcing phylloxera-resistant vines. There was a meeting of the Association held on 28 March at which the President read a paper on the phylloxera pest (published in Rutherglen sun and Chiltern Valley advertiser, 31 March 1896, p. 3, concluded in the issue of 3 April, p. 8) but no full report of the meeting has been found.
Letter not found. The text given here is from 'correspondence' in the report of the meeting of the Rutherglen Vinegrowers' Association held on 15 February 1896 (Rutherglen sun and Chiltern Valley advertiser, 18 February 1896, p. 3). The letter is dated to February 1896 as the latest that it could have been written to be reported on 15 February.
