From Ferdinand von Mueller to the Australasian   3 Apr 1896

"Veritas" (Mundara1).—The small weed you send is identified by Baron von Mueller as an Amarantus, allied to the British Amarantus blitum. The plant is an immigrant here, and is harmless unless the small prickles should cause any inconvenience to stock.]

Amarantus blitum

Grazing property, c. 35 km north of Kaniva, Vic.
