Dear Mr Cheeseman
I am not sure whether I wrote to you about Carmichaeleous2 or whether among endless office work I stopped short at the intention. For some special researches at one of the German Universities the series of species of Carmichaeleous are required3 you will get credit in the publication for what you may kindly supply, I would like also to enquire whether well ripened seeds of your Kauri Vine can be purchased freshly & at what price.
Very regardfully
your
Ferd. von Mueller
Carmichaeleous
MS written in another hand and signed by M.
Carmichaelias? M had requested specimens in M to T. Cheeseman, 2 June 1896 (in this edition as 96-06-02a).
Probably by Ludwig Diels, then preparing a doctoral thesis at Berlin under Adolf Engler on 'Vegetations-Biologie von Neu-Seeland' (Diels (1897), in which Cheeseman is thanked, among others, for help provided).
