From Ferdinand von Mueller to the Leader   [Sep 1896]1

[Specimens of Plant.— Subscriber, Yarroweyah2 —The specimens are only in incipient flower, and without the lower leaves, and, as among the numerous wild plants of the Brassiva3 tribe, the full distinction can be only made from the fruit. It will be better, Baron von Mueller suggests, to wait till fruits are maturing some weeks hence, and send again, when the exact specific name can be made out. Sheep will browse on these sorts of plants, but on agricultural lands these herbs can become molesting weeds.]
