From Ferdinand von Mueller to Charles H. French   17 Sep 1896

17/9/96.

Your brother, dear Mr French, undertook to convey to you my advise, not to miss the rare chance of securing a multitude of Acianthus caudotus. It will be in your own interest, as the specimens will all be sent out as collected by you.

Very regardfully

your Ferd. von Mueller

Acianthus caudotus

While the addressee is uncertain and might be Charles H. French's brother George, if M wished to give advice to the latter, he would surely have done so orally and not by letter since George was his private servant, whereas Charles H. French had left the herbarium in July 1895 and was permanently employed in the Department of Agriculture as assistant to his father, the Government Entomologist.
