Der zweite Packet enthält die bestellte Sammlung Müller'scher Pflanzen, 660 Arten à 8 rt = 52 rt 24 Sgr Preuss. Ich habe Ihnen die erste Sammlung gegeben und zweifle nicht, dass sie für das an australischen Pflanzen so reiche Herbarium in Wien von einigem Interesse sein werde. Sie finden verschiedene kleinen Exemplare dabei, z. B. bei den […] Chenopodeen; die wären aber sonst gar nicht vertheilt, da ich meine Sammlung so vollständig und hübsch als möglich halten. Haben Sie Lust und Zeit die Müller'schen Pflanzen genau durchzusehen oder bemerken Sie beim Einrangiren Ihren Lieblingsfamilien grobe Böcke oder auch nur geringere Fehler, so thun Sie mir den Gefallen und setzen mich davon in Kenntniss. Ich möchte in der Aufzählung der Müller'schen Pflanzen Irthümer so viel als möglich vermeiden.

Der Fortsetzung der Müller'schen Pflanzen sehe ich mit Sehnsucht entgegen. Eine Kiste, die die im Inneren auf einer grossen Reise gemachte Ausbeute enthält, ist bereits in England angekommen.

The second parcel contains the ordered collection of the Mueller plants, 660 species @ 8 Reichstalers = 52 Reichstalers and 24 Silver Groschen Prussian.3 I have given you the first collection and do not doubt that it will be of some interest for the herbarium, so rich in Australian plants, in Vienna. You will find various small specimens in it, e. g. among the […] Chenopodeae; but they would otherwise not be distributed at all, because I keep my collection as complete and delightful as possible. If you have the inclination and time to look through the Mueller plants closely or notice on sorting your favourite families gross blunders or even just smaller errors, do me the favour of notifying me. I would like as much as possible to avoid mistakes in the listing of the Mueller plants.

I look forward longingly to the continuation of the Mueller plants. A box that contains the results of a large journey made into the interior4 has already arrived in England.
