My dear Fanny1
Before receiving your enigmatical telegram yesterday afternoon I had written to Mr. Dawson Rogers of the National Press Agency, 13, Whitefriars Street, E.C. to send to you any lady healer or massage performer &c. he could recommend. If any such person comes pray let her treat you, and come to you at least once & if she thinks necessary better, or twice daily. I have told Mr. Rogers that I will pay her, & such persons do not charge much.
[2] I write this morning so that you may get this to-night, as, I have not had a letter from you by the morning’s post to say who your visitor was.
I shall expect one this afternoon or evening.
Hope you are no worse.
Believe me | your affectionate Brother | Alfred R. Wallace [signature]
P.S. I only just caught my train on Thursday.
