Richmond Hill, Surrey.

Nov[ember] 20 1904

Dear Dr Wallace,

I enclose a fresh letter from the curator of Ashtead, who has failed to find John Roberts in the register of burials. Is it worth while applying at Epsom? I have seen the wills of Mary Roberts & her daughter Elizabeth, who was her mother’s sole executor & legatee. The property was sworn under £7000 — On the other hand Elizabeth Roberts died worth £20373.2.8, so she must have had some independent property. I am having a copy made of her will, which is long, in accordance with the wish expressed in your last letter. [2]

The disbursements I have made are shown on the opposite page.

I am yours v[er]y truly | Sydney C. Cockerell. [3]
